Yes this is a rural place, it's an actual farm. The bathroom arrangements are very old fashion. Literally an out house with no door or roof. Just three sides to it. They have hand sanitizer. It really isn't as bad as you think, The bathroom is in a secluded place as well. I would recommend bringing some disinfectant wipes just in case you need to sit on the toilet.
Very rural. No acceptable restroom for public.
My companion had difficulties with her horse, but it was because my companion wasn't following the simple instructions on how to use the stirrups to direct her horse, I stopped counting almost a dozen times of them explaining to her a handful of "How-To Drive Your Horse". Granted my companion was nervous, why I do not know since this was her 3rd time at this place and my first ride in probably 20 years.
The scenery is beautiful, we crossed a couple shallow creeks that come over the road, only 3 vehicles passed through since it is a gravel road used by the locals who live there to reach their homes. But it was safe, as each driver stopped to make sure they and us could all be safe. Some locals were out mowing their lawns and were friendly waving to us. A couple of the very friendly farm dogs followed along weaving in and out of the brush almost like scout dogs. These horses are very tame but as with humans if a bird flies out of a bush they are passing by it could startle them, so the dogs basically scared away any possibility of something like that occurring.
Was there this morning 10am ride for 1.5 miles. I'm horrible with names but they were very polite, especially since we were 20 minutes late. They paired us up with good horses, I got Peso a very well mannered fellow, who mostly followed my directing, I try to kick as light as the horse will respond.
I would definitely go back to Greenridge.
Our sale we got on Groupon was for $37 for 2 people to ride 3 mile trail. When we called to make a reservation the owner was upset Groupon was charging so low & asked if we could pay $40 to them instead of Groupon. I said that was fine & she told us we could come @ 2pm. I told her that sounded good, that I would call her back in 5 mins so I can tell my bf to see if that time worked for us. I had to call her atleast 20 times on our way there (no one ever answers the phones) very unprofessional. So we get there @ 2pm & the trail guide said no one told her we were coming. And said if we wanted to ride she would charge us 30$ EXTRA dollars to get the 2 horses ready. Like if it was our fault the owner didn't communicate with her. Me & my bf drove 2hrs so we said we would pay the $30 extra. Then when she takes us over to pay, she says the total comes to $87 because they add $20 for a tip!!! We didn't even ride the horses yet to know if she was even worth a tip. They are all about getting over on people for a few extra dollars. So our trip that was supposed to be $37 turned into $87. And the trail guide claims we were the first to use groupon. Which is a lie because Groupon has over 60 reviews for their company.. the horses were cute though -_-
Great place for horseback riding for beginners and above. The staff is very nice and hospitable. You can pet most of the horses and the 1.5 hour trail ride is worth the trip.
These horses are programmed to their trail and are excellent for beginners to ride. The trail guide, Tamara, was great and had a good knowledge of each horse's personality. The horses are in great condition and are well cared for. Not only would I recommend this place for riders, I am returning in a few days with other family members including my son who is very afraid of horses. I was able to talk him into a ride because the horses are so well behaved. The ride I took today was with my aunt who had a bad riding accident a few years ago and has not ridden much since. She had a great time and gained more confidence.
