Four quarters functions as an amazing place for groups of all denominations to host events. They work hard to keep their impact on the land minimal, and use sustainable practices whenever possible. The stone circle is absolutely amazing, and a profound space in which to gather. The creek and trails are beautiful. They have regular campsites where members can spend time year round, as well as a large area for groups to use during events. Their kitchen staff is supremely accommodating and the food is delicious. In addition to offering the space as a venue for private groups to use, they also host events that anyone can attend throughout the year; drum and splash, stones rising, etc. Truly a magical place.
Just got back from Big Dub being held at Four Quarters and I have to say this place is absolutely breathtaking! I definitely recommend coming here for any festival, gathering, or just to experience the amazing natural beauty of the sanctuary. I love how it has a good amount of forest and field and the river that goes through the farm is really cool :)
The land owners are whacked out of their gourds. They're all ex-Christian with all of the baggage attached. Went there for a festival and one of the guys (Mike) took sadistic pleasure in chaining people's cars and messing with people. Quit pretending to be spiritual and hating people younger than you. You're doing this for money and we all know it. Also they refused to allow trash bins, no wonder the grounds got wrecked. Pretty place though!
I just got home from bass harvest for the 2nd year in a row. Four quarters is a magical place tranquil and comforting. I will go to anything that is scheduled to be here. It has become a retreat for me. Being there rejuvenated the soul.
The hand washing stations located throughout the area really limited the spread of germs, and the bleaching of the port-a-potties really helped as well. Just use common sense when you are attending an event where there is large numbers of people around. I will definitely be attending Big Dub next year and I cant wait go back to this wonderful place! :)
EDIT: Strange that a year later, same festival, norovirus and dysentery break out and one of the owners gets into a physical altercation with an attendee. But yeah, keep saying the tone of my review is the problem. Your land is cursed.
I would also like to point out I did not get sick at all from being here and neither did my group of friends and neighbors at my camp at Big Dub. I didn't even hear about any reports of the Norovirus while at the farm. Anyone who is giving this place a bad review and blaming it on the owners is just upset because THEY failed to use common sense. I stayed in a tent for four days and it rained one of those days and I never got sick. Literally it is all common sense people just wash your hands and don't share food or drink with anyone it is that simple.
Enjoyed an afternoon here for a wedding. Just a wonderful experience and absolutely lovely area! It's definitely secluded, so be sure to know where you're going and do not rely on cell phone reception if it's your first visit.. because you may not have any.
